My ex husband had blue eyes slate. Our daughter has traditional hazel eyes, but they were blue until she was 5, a very bright azure then moved over to green and then got darker and darker until now they look almost brown but show a lot of green in sun, etc. We call them dragon eyes or cat eyes.
