Too be fair this game isn’t really that bad, however, on that note, because of how IW presented it, its actually horrible. Why do I say this? I just bought a new laptop and even upgraded my graphics card to the highest available and after installing the game, I can only barely run it at about avg settings.
My main issue with this game as with all pc games is the hackers. IW still decided to go with Steam, for which everyone knows, is pretty much is the green light for hackers to play. But even without the hackers, the maps just aren’t that fun or interesting. Yes, some maps are huge, but with only 12 players running in it, its not very exciting. They IW said that there are game changing dynamics that will happen and this adjust how you play.

I purchased Ghosts on for the PC – perhaps this was my first mistake, but I have general dislike for paying extra fees to enjoy online gaming. Put simply, I do not feel this is a bad game. Unfortunately, that’s about where it ends. The single player missions cover a wide variety scenarios and settings, ranging from the jungles, deserts, snowy mountains, to even the bottom of the ocean and space.
The presentation was stunning, but the game never really takes time to really immerse you in the atmosphere. The missions follow a similar plot for the most part – kill the bad guys and get from points A to B. There are a few neat features, such as the ability to control a guard dog, in addition to attack drones, tanks, and planes. The final few missions were enjoyable however – allowing the player to see the story unfold from multiple perspectives and battlefronts.
The story is another let down and wastes the opportunity to create brand new heroes by creating forgettable characters that do not stand out. The plot is straightforward, predictable, and leaves much to be desired.
The multiplayer system seems interesting on paper. There are now several ways to create custom and detailed classes best suited for different types of maps or modes. The maps are very visually appealing, with details like thunder, rain, snow, and dust storms that can be observed during combat.
I feel that while the game is balanced for the most part, the assault rifles are slightly over-powered in multiplayer; They have a much faster time to kill compared to other COD games imo. The game has also introduced a new spawning system.
Rather than having 2 to 4 fixed spawns based on the locations of enemies, players can spawn in random places on the map. This is useful for stopping spawn trapping or preventing enemies from trapping a team in one spot, but sometimes creates odd problems when players spawn well behind enemy lines or in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, there are the biggest issue on the PC right now is the lag or choppy gameplay whenever playing online.
Even with high-end gaming hardware and a fast internet connection, I still find myself and other players about a half-step behind. Other times, I notice player models seemingly skipping across the battlefield. But even more critical, the game seemingly crashes sometimes when loading maps. The game becomes unresponsive requiring one to force-kill the process. Perhaps these are issues that can be fixed with patches, but until that happens, PC gamers are going to be frustrated. There are some minor fixes you can implement to mitigate bugs, such as disabling terrain detail, distortion, motion and depth of field, but the lag issues will still linger.
All-in-All, Ghosts is a massive letdown for long-time fans of the series. There is a running joke among gamers that all COD games are exactly the same. To an extent, they are correct this time, with Ghosts’ single player seemingly rehashing elements from previous installments of the franchise. The multi-player is a mess on PC, but is still salvageable with patches don’t hold your breath.
Perhaps it would have been better to purchase this game for the console. Even as someone who bought the game on Black Friday for much less, I still think this game is not worth more than dollars.

The single player missions cover a wide variety scenarios and settings, ranging from the jungles, deserts, snowy mountains, to even the bottom of the ocean and space.
The presentation was stunning, but the game never really takes time to really immerse you in the atmosphere. The missions follow a similar plot for the most part – kill the bad guys and get from points A to B.
There are a few neat features, such as the ability to control a guard dog, in addition to attack drones, tanks, and planes.
The final few missions were enjoyable however – allowing the player to see the story unfold from multiple perspectives and battlefronts. The story is another let down and wastes the opportunity to create brand new heroes by creating forgettable characters that do not stand out.
The plot is straightforward, predictable, and leaves much to be desired. The multiplayer system seems interesting on paper. There are now several ways to create custom and detailed classes best suited for different types of maps or modes. The maps are very visually appealing, with details like thunder, rain, snow, and dust storms that can be observed during combat. I feel that while the game is balanced for the most part, the assault rifles are slightly over-powered in multiplayer; They have a much faster time to kill compared to other COD games imo.
The game has also introduced a new spawning system. Rather than having 2 to 4 fixed spawns based on the locations of enemies, players can spawn in random places on the map. This is useful for stopping spawn trapping or preventing enemies from trapping a team in one spot, but sometimes creates odd problems when players spawn well behind enemy lines or in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, there are the biggest issue on the PC right now is the lag or choppy gameplay whenever playing online.
Even with high-end gaming hardware and a fast internet connection, I still find myself and other players about a half-step behind. Other times, I notice player models seemingly skipping across the battlefield. But even more critical, the game seemingly crashes sometimes when loading maps. The game becomes unresponsive requiring one to force-kill the process. Perhaps these are issues that can be fixed with patches, but until that happens, PC gamers are going to be frustrated.
There are some minor fixes you can implement to mitigate bugs, such as disabling terrain detail, distortion, motion and depth of field, but the lag issues will still linger. All-in-All, Ghosts is a massive letdown for long-time fans of the series. There is a running joke among gamers that all COD games are exactly the same.
To an extent, they are correct this time, with Ghosts’ single player seemingly rehashing elements from previous installments of the franchise. The multi-player is a mess on PC, but is still salvageable with patches don’t hold your breath. Perhaps it would have been better to purchase this game for the console. Their best work was MW, but ever since a portion of that dynamic team left, they’ve been going down hill. And it shows. On average I see about 3, players on. It’s sad to see how far the people in charge of IW have let the game fall, and I don’t think they’ve even hit rock bottom yet, untill no one buys there games, because there will always be gamers like me who hope that the creators will make the next one will better, and then be disappointed when we actually have the game installed.
From other reviewers you’ll see just how much of a system taxation it is to run the game, and that’s just disappointing. I purchased Ghosts on for the PC – perhaps this was my first mistake, but I have general dislike for paying extra fees to enjoy online gaming. Put simply, I do not feel this is a bad game. Unfortunately, that’s about where it ends.
The single player missions cover a wide variety scenarios and settings, ranging from the jungles, deserts, snowy mountains, to even the bottom of the ocean and space.
The presentation was stunning, but the game never really takes time to really immerse you in the atmosphere. The missions follow a similar plot for the most part – kill the bad guys and get from points A to B. There are a few neat features, such as the ability to control a guard dog, in addition to attack drones, tanks, and planes. The final few missions were enjoyable however – allowing the player to see the story unfold from multiple perspectives and battlefronts. The story is another let down and wastes the opportunity to create brand new heroes by creating forgettable characters that do not stand out.
The plot is straightforward, predictable, and leaves much to be desired. The multiplayer system seems interesting on paper. There are now several ways to create custom and detailed classes best suited for different types of maps or modes. The maps are very visually appealing, with details like thunder, rain, snow, and dust storms that can be observed during combat.
I feel that while the game is balanced for the most part, the assault rifles are slightly over-powered in multiplayer; They have a much faster time to kill compared to other COD games imo. The game has also introduced a new spawning system. Rather than having 2 to 4 fixed spawns based on the locations of enemies, players can spawn in random places on the map. This is useful for stopping spawn trapping or preventing enemies from trapping a team in one spot, but sometimes creates odd problems when players spawn well behind enemy lines or in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunately, there are the biggest issue on the PC right now is the lag or choppy gameplay whenever playing online. Even with high-end gaming hardware and a fast internet connection, I still find myself and other players about a half-step behind.
Other times, I notice player models seemingly skipping across the battlefield. But even more critical, the game seemingly crashes sometimes when loading maps. The game becomes unresponsive requiring one to force-kill the process. Perhaps these are issues that can be fixed with patches, but until that happens, PC gamers are going to be frustrated. There are some minor fixes you can implement to mitigate bugs, such as disabling terrain detail, distortion, motion and depth of field, but the lag issues will still linger.
All-in-All, Ghosts is a massive letdown for long-time fans of the series. There is a running joke among gamers that all COD games are exactly the same. To an extent, they are correct this time, with Ghosts’ single player seemingly rehashing elements from previous installments of the franchise. The multi-player is a mess on PC, but is still salvageable with patches don’t hold your breath.
