At the end of the special level, players will receive one of the seven Chaos emeralds. If you collect all seven Chaos emeralds, the player unlocks the ability to transform into a Super Sonic character who is invincible and increases speed continuously.
The game retains the content of the classic storyline, and tells about the race through 4 unique zones. Each area has 4 actions as well as 7 special levels. Of course, try to complete special stages, collect 7 Chaos and unlock Super Sonic. In particular, the game has brought a classic boss fight with many upgrades.

I would not say that Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I is the best 2D Sonic game ever made, but it is not a bad one at all.
