People here are still using WM Definitely not as much, but it’s still in use.. The problem is that these iDroid fans have Zero respect. This site wouldn’t be here in the first place if it weren’t for Windows Mobile, and Phone fans. If these apps are available for mobile WC should have enough respect and sense to address that. MSN Weather I trust too. I’ve had msn weather mix up data and end up giving me the weather info for some town in California while I’m looking up the weather on a mountain. Add in the above mentioned Meteostation and you have the 3 weather app’s I have pinned to my start screen. All 3 nicely complement each other.
Does your battery drain more with all three apps pinned? No, I have not noticed any battery drain due to these 3 apps being pinned. So where is “Forecast” app? Been using for long now. Lockscreen, live tiles and alot of others to play with. Even universal and updated for W Pretty much better and more reliable then the WC list when it comes to weather in the whole world. Tried repinning it, no change. You can cross Amazing Weather HD from the list. Delisted from the store and no longer available for sale according to the developer’s Twitter feed. I’m disappointed. Accuweathwr easily. Have it on my Lumia and my Xbox One S. What some app developers are doing with the Xbox One is incredible. If people knew just what it can do as a media device surely people would ditch the likes of Apple TV etc. Dominoes also have an Xbox App. It’s amazing how you can snap your order tracker to one side and continue watching TV. I was using Perfect Weather Universal for quite some time. Went back to Accuweather because it’s, like the name, accurate for my area at least.
I like how MSN Weather looks but Accuweather has done a better job when it comes to actual local weather status, not just a forecast. How accurate is a 15 day forecast? It’s more so that I know what to expect approximately for at least the next week or so.
There’s a paid day forecast option in the UWP version or something now, but I don’t need that. Our weather where I live can change at any moment because of the lakes, so even a one-day forecast can be inaccurate. Hi, I am the developer of Strawberry Weather. I really enjoy Strawberry Weather. While the article mentions maps and radar missing, I never cared about those at all anyway. I wanted a simple weather app and so far, Strawberry Weather still provides exactly what I need! I encourage everyone else to give it a try. You’ve done a great job with your app! No amazing weather HD? I heard it was pulled from the store. I’ll toss out Forecast. I use it all the time both on pc and mobile. Which weather mobile app supports lock screen notifications, other than MSN Weather. If you mean the notifications that appear on the lock screen below the date and time, Strawberry Weather supports it! I meant like how you normally see Weather Tile on Start Screen that shows weather for upcoming days not just same day.
In settings in the app. You can pick what goes on the front side and back side of the tile. I have todays current temp with forecast on the front and the five day forecast on the back. You didn’t mention their weather data sources. Some are better than others. I would prefer knowing that than having a weather App which looks nice. I like Prognoza, but as all the other apps that use Forecast. Same as Blue sky and bunch of other apps. Therefore, best option as well most accurate one is default MSN Weather app.
Yandex weather app is the best out there. Even has a precipitation map showing you where the rain is and where it will be moving to. Changes my location as I move around the city. Very accurate too. Lots of info on the live tile, specially on the biggest tile setting. For Canadians, The Weather Network app works the best. WeatherBug is my favorite for mobile.
This used to be my favorite but in the last year their radar maps became highly unreliable and just downright stopped working most of the time so I had to ditch it and move to AccuWeather. Strange how nobody mentions Aurora weather, It’s fantastic, 3 way flip on the live tile, accurate in my area,’uk’, and very comprehensive customization with pictures denoting weather conditions currently!
Worth a look. Whoever MSN uses as their source for weather info, is awful. Never ever right. In Austria it’s so damn precise it’s frightening. Honestly, temperature is accurate, but it’s ability to call rain or snow is WAY off.
It’s great in Croatia, too. I use accuweather and lockie for lockscreen weather forecast.. Both works good for my location.. There’s really only ONE feature I care about in a weather app – Hail warnings and ability to see and track the storm tracks of hail-bearing thunderstorms. This feature also tracks any storm capable of producing tornadoes, too, since the updrafts required for hail and tornadoes are the same Right now, I use the Weather Radar Pro app, but it’s hardly worth the money, and isn’t nearly as good as the free Wunderground app was several years ago.
Radar Scope isn’t bad, but isn’t available on Windows Tracks are hugely important – here in Austin, for instance, we frequently have bad storms in the area, but only rarely would we really need to evacuate the cars in the driveway to nearby shelter. All the above, yes. I find MyRadar outstanding for providing immediate radar map for the discerning amateur meteorologist, pilots and anyone on the go for forecasts. Poor use of screen real estate IMO. Looked WAY better in earlier versions. I started to down load the app and a beautiful highly informative control panel came up and it was near perfect. I was then invited to download additional weather related apps and that’s when it all fell apart.
I never could relaunch the original control panel. I am now left with a clunky app that is a struggle to interpret. I am just going to delete everything and start. That original control panel is what I wanted.
The app design and functionality is great, the ads are not. Almost every time I open it to check the weather I get a full screen ad for another app. Bugs the hell outta me. Gonna be trying some other weather apps.
