I have acquired 2 recently released blu-rays, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and Taken 2, that will not play on the latest version of the software. I attempted the update but received the message that my serial number was invalid. The patch is not applicable to the trial version. Top positive review. Latest patch out apparently makes this more compatible with Win8, although I’m on Win7 so??? This Service Pack can only be applied to software already updated to Service Pack 6: I guess I will have to wait for PowerDVD 13 trial to come out so that I will at least be able to determine if it is a player problem or a drive problem.
